Event Type: Special Event
Date: 12/5/2015
Start Time: 11:00 AM
End Time: 12:30 PM
Description:
Interested in saving the environment, living "green", and protecting the Chesapeake Bay? Stormwater runoff is the number one cause of pollution of our streams today. The use of rain barrels and other types of green infrastructures help to decrease the volume of storm runoff and pollutants contained in that runoff, which in turn, helps to moderate stream erosions and the resulting pollution that is impairing the Chesdapeake Bay. Learn how to make your own rain barrel. Program is presented by a Civil Engineer from the City's Stormwater Management Division.
