Description:
 The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom was born from the International Women's Congress of 1915 that convened in response to the outbreak of World War I. Since then, the League has been an active presence throughout the world, working for peace through nonviolence. Katherine Flaherty, coordinator of the Washington, D.C. branch of WILPF will share the history and mission of this long standing organization.
