Read Between the Wines - Book Discussion at Flight 112

7:00 PM - 8:15 PM

Event Details

Join us at Flight 112 to discuss Tribe: On Homecoming and Belonging by Sebastian Junger. enjamin Franklin once lamented that English settlers were “constantly fleeing over to the Indians—but Indians almost never did the same.” Junger shows us just how at odds the structure of modern society is with our tribal instincts, arguing that the difficulties many veterans face upon returning home from war do not stem entirely from trauma, but also from the individualist societies into which they must reintegrate. Register at the 2nd Floor Information Desk with your valid EPL card or call (630) 279-8696. Books are available when you register. Registration opens Tuesday, October 24. Space is limited. Flight 112 Wine House is located at 112 W. Park Avenue, 2 blocks east of the Library.
