It’s sure to be an afternoon of fun that celebrates inclusion and friendship. “Todd Parr’s book celebrates the things that make us unique, like looks, families, and abilities. ‘The Playground for Everyone’ was designed with joyful inclusion in mind, so we thought it was a perfect fit,” says Sarah Burnside, Early Childhood Librarian. “The Playground for Everyone” at Butterfield Park is inclusive and fun for kids and adults of all abilities. The park is a place where everyone can play with their friends without barriers. WHAT IS A STORYWALK? StoryWalk was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT as a way to engage children and their caregivers with stories while they explore the outdoors. Pages of a story are set up along a path so you can read as you walk! Since the first StoryWalk in 2007, the idea has spread to all 50 states and at least 12 foreign countries.
