Sociology professor and gender studies scholar, Dr. Jodie Dewey will provide a fun and interactive space to learn the basics of gender. Using both scholarly theory and every day examples, attendees will gain insight into the cultural meanings of being male, female, masculine and feminine in our society, binaries that many negotiate and traverse as they navigate individual, relational, and institutional arenas.
