A Train Extravaganza

Where: KIDS Silent Study Room

Young train enthusiasts from ages 3 to 8 will love hearing terrific tales about their favorite mode of transportation and will ride the rails with rhymes, action verses and songs. Our storytimes will be in the Storytime Room at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. and 1 and 2 p.m. and will include a reading of Chris Van Allsburg's award-winning book, The Polar Exress. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., children and their folks can drop by the Kids' Silent Sudy Room and peruse a T-TRAK N SCALE model railway presented by the Elmhurst T-TRAK Group. This wonderful presentation will include a recreation of the Polar express panorama. Members of the T-TRAK Group will be there to talk about their model trains and answer questions. For the storytimes, please present your valid EPL card at the Help Desk on the day of the program to pick up tickets. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

During this hands-on program you will learn specifically about Word 2007’s editing functions and how to use special features such as resume templates, thesaurus, spell-check, and tables. Enhance your resume by adding this seminar as additional training. Students are asked to bring a draft resume or one to be revised. Students will also need to have an e-mail account or bring a flash drive for saving the resume files. Some experience using any version Word is requested. Free.
