This Old-Time Music jam focuses on traditional instrumental music, including Appalachian fiddle tunes, Celtic and Canadian reels, jigs, hornpipes and other roots music. We encourage all acoustical instruments to share in these traditional tunes: Dulcimers, fiddles, banjos, guitars, harps, mandolins, Dobros, Irish whistles, etc. Players of all ages and ability are welcome to join in the time-honored tradition of gathering and playing music. Meet virtually with Arizona Songwriters Association members, Jon Iger and Randy Brown, to get constructive feedback on your song, finished or not, BEFORE you go into the studio! Perform it live or play a recording. Randy and Jon have had songs placed in many movies and TV shows. Randy is a songwriting coach, and Jon is President of the Arizona Songwriters Association. Phoenix-based singer-songwriter Annie Moscow and her trio (Tim Sadow on violin and Sam Russo on percussion) perform her original music featuring songs from her newly released album, Land of Dreams. The show will open with performances by two student performers, followed by a 30-minute set by Eric Laubach who performs original works as well as standards.
