Arizona Humane Society expert Amanda and her adorable animal ambassadors will teach us about the five different classes of vertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, fish, birds, and mammals and discuss what makes them different. REGISTRATION REQUIRED and begins March 14. Please register for one session only.

Note to parents and caregivers: This presentation features a live animal experience and requires a waiver signed prior to entering the room and interacting with animals.

This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

We meet monthly to discuss mysteries on different topics. Everyone is welcome. Just pick and read a mystery  from the main topic, or the alternate topic and come prepared to give your reviews.

Search the Library Online Catalog to find mysteries you might like.  For example, “mystery, Italy”, or go to stopyourekillingme.com, then index, for suggestions.  Read one or more mysteries then share your reviews with fellow mystery lovers.  Also, feel free to read mysteries on topics not listed and let us know how you liked them.

Celebrate Water Awareness Month with Glendale Water Conservation!

Let’s learn about our water! Our water comes from various sources, and we have developed ways to ensure a reliable supply. Did you know that one way we store water is through dams? During this event, participants will have the opportunity to build a dam and learn about the many benefits they provide. We will also use a groundwater flow model to demonstrate how we access water stored underground in aquifers. Ages 5-18.

Don’t forget – you can also participate in the 2024 Water Conservation Bookmark Art Contest by creating your own bookmark!

Arizona Broadway Theatre for Young Audiences presents Flight School. 

It’s the first day of Flight School, where they teach birds to fly. Penguin has the soul of an eagle and is ready to live on the wind. But he wasn’t built to soar, as the other birds constantly remind him. Penguin’s spirit won’t be grounded. With some friends of a feather, and a little help on the technical parts, Penguin follows his dreams to flip, flap, fly!
