Enjoy an afternoon of music featuring singer/songwriters Cowboy Wrecks, Laura Joy and Michael Greenleaf. Cowboy Wrecks’ original music ranges from Americana to folk to deeply spiritual. Laura Joy, with her percussive finger picking and buoyant voice, will perform her acoustic pop originals. Michael Greenleaf will share his heartfelt, at times humorous, but always deeply personal and intelligent pieces.

Trees are our allies! Come and learn about the benefits of trees, and how to
plant, water, and prune a tree. Certified Arborist, Cathy Rymer, will share
everything you need to know about proper tree care and overview more than 30
trees to help you choose a suitable tree for the Arizona Desert.

child can learn. Children between 5 - 11 are invited to gain some financial
knowledge and paint a piggy bank to take home and put to good use!

The Phoenix College Pan Groove is thrilled to return to the Glendale Public Library to share the rich history and sounds of the steel pan. Created in Trinidad and Tobago in the 1930s, the steel pan sound is now known and celebrated worldwide as a cultural icon of the Caribbean. The ensemble will perform well known tunes featuring the steel pan as well as original compositions from some of the leading steel pan composers of today.

Reserve a 20-minute timeslot in advance and strap into the Oculus "First Steps" experience: learning how to navigate a virtual space, interact with VR objects, and even try your hand at a few mini-games.
Registration required for participants, observers welcome. Intended for participants 16+.
