Live @ the Library: Phoenix College Steel Pan Groove

The Phoenix College Pan Groove is thrilled to return to the Glendale Public Library to share the rich history and sounds of the steel pan. Created in Trinidad and Tobago in the 1930s, the steel pan sound is now known and celebrated worldwide as a cultural icon of the Caribbean. The ensemble will perform well known tunes featuring the steel pan as well as original compositions from some of the leading steel pan composers of today.

This concert is funded by a City of Glendale Performing Arts Grant.
