For the month of April, we will be celebrating Earth Day by reusing plastic fruit cups and turning them into flower planters. Using the supplies provided, create an animal theme planter. Once you’re done decorating, add soil and seeds into your animal planter. All materials will be provided. For ages 12-18.

Live @ the Library: Phoenix College Steel Pan Groove

The Phoenix College Pan Groove is thrilled to return to the Glendale Public Library to share the rich history and sounds of the steel pan. Created in Trinidad and Tobago in the 1930s, the steel pan sound is now known and celebrated worldwide as a cultural icon of the Caribbean. The ensemble will perform well known tunes featuring the steel pan as well as original compositions from some of the leading steel pan composers of today.

Bring the family and come enjoy the show! 

This concert is funded by a City of Glendale Performing Arts Grant.

We invite you to our West Valley Native American Flute Circle starting Thursday March 28th, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm here at our Heroes Library located at 6075 N 83rd Ave. Glendale Az 85303. This event is open free of charge to everyone with an interest in learning how to play the Native American Flute. We welcome folks of all levels, from those who have never touched a flute to more accomplished players to join us in this friendly, relaxed environment here at the library.
