Expert gardener Dr. Norm Park will lead attendees through the process of successfully starting your vegetable and flower garden from seeds. In addition, Chris Ward, the Education Director at the Cleveland County Conservation District will provide a presentation on water saving techniques in the garden - don't let the drought keep you out of the garden, learn how to be water smart instead. Chris will talk on everything from compost to rain barrels and include tips and tricks for using grey water. She will open the discussion for you to share your water saving tips. There will be a Seed Swap at the end of the workshop. Bring your saved or excess seeds to trade, or pick up some seeds donated by local seed stores.
