Malcolm Little spent many of his formative years in Michigan before becoming the minister and activist we know as Malcolm X. Dr. Johnson will examine young Malcolm X’s Michigan—and more specifically Kalamazoo—connections from his youth and talk about his impact on our state’s cultural history. A fascinating and fun discussion for all ages!
