Can you spell palindrome? Or malapropism? How about miniscule? Well then grab your honey, and show off your spelling talents at our Senior Spelling Bee. It’s a fun and brain-healthy activity, and it’s FREE!! Hosted in partnership with the Sugar Grove Park District. Here’s the BUZZ: The Illinois State Senior Spelling Bee Competition is an exciting statewide program that provides Illinois adults age 50 and older the opportunity to showcase a lifetime of knowledge and to celebrate years of experience through spelling abilities. The program is coordinated by the Association of Illinois Senior Centers with the help of the Illinois Department on Aging. The 1st and 2nd place winners will advance to the regional level competition. Winners of regional levels will advance to the state finals on August 17, 2015 at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.
