How to Leverage Technologies on a Budget

Date: 3/10/2011
Start Time: 8:45 AM
End Time: 11:45 AM
Times are tough, everyday we hear on the news about new financial issues. Given the current climate, how do we keep providing the services our patrons expect and deserve with our budgets being cut. Free and open source software is one option available to us, but an even cheaper and more effective option is social software. Social software is often hosted for free on the web and offers librarians a low barrier for entry/learning curve. This workshop will cover these free and low cost options for your library, allowing you to continue to offer the services your patrons need within your budget.
