 Even in wealthy communities, libraries have become the place to learn about and access modern technology, including computers, mobile devices, dedicated e-books, and tools available in Makerspaces and STEAM programs. And there are challenges: dealing with what might be a major, permanent shift regarding the mission of libraries; conflicts among staff regarding old and new duties; and staff overwhelmed by rapid changes in technology, demands of customers, and insufficient funds, personnel, and training.
