It's the 75th anniversary of the Caldecott Medal! Explore the art of award-winning picture books in this hands-on art program. We will closely at the techniques artists use and then create art in that style. We'll keep a portfolio, learn about the work of a curator, and end the session with an art show.

The newest books will be revealed at our monthly meetings. Can't make it? Stop in the Teen Center to sign out a book and share your thoughts online. Help prepare your child for a life of reading by completing early literacy exercises on the Activity Log at http://bit.ly/actvtylg2013. All babies, toddlers and pre-readers are encouraged to play.
  • Get a sticker, pencil or bookmark when you sign up.
  • Pick up a water color paint sheet when you log 10 activities.
  • Choose a book from our prize cart when you log 20 activities.
  • Get a chance to win a box set of books for every activity logged beyond 20.
