Observe Arbor Day by learning about the fascinating miniature world of Bonsai. Practiced for thousands of years in Japan, the art of growing and training tiny trees is now exercised around the world.

Find out the basics of creating and caring for these interesting living works of art. We'll discuss topics like plant selection, design concepts and routine care. Examples of the plants, tools and supplies used in the hobby will be on view.

Questions are encouraged.

It's never too early to talk, sing, read, write and play with your child. Learn how these practices help children develop skills needed for learning how to read when they enter Kindergarten. This class will walk participants through some basic research about brain development and early literacy skills, with lots of opportunity for hands on fun.
