This is the first book in her series, The Donut Shop Mysteries. Suzanne Hart, owns a donut shop, called Donut Hearts. Unfortunately, one morning just after she arrived to work, a body was dumped on her sidewalk! Feeling she may next, she starts investigating herself, with a little help from some friends. It's good read, similar to a Murder, She Wrote Mystery.  Reserve it!

This book is a mixed bag. Things I liked: - The hero is a drug addict and murderer; from his point of view none of this is his fault. After reading this I learned to suppose it is possible to think like that. - There were some pages I would have marked (if I owned the book) to return to at another time for further inspiration and contemplation.

Things I didn't like: - I didn't see how the main character grew or changed. He was reborn, but into what or for what purpose I cannot say. - I felt the homosexual encounters could have been dealt with in much less graphic detail. - There were not enough of the "pages I would have marked" mentioned above to justify a Pulitzer in my opinion.  Reserve it!

Good book! Loved the story about a young lady & being misdiagnosed, & her journey. After she was cured she had to piece together what happened through her month long illness. Medical terminology sometimes a little tough to understand, but good story  Reserve it!
